Construction of JANOT has started at AISTER's shipyard in Spain. The Chartwell Marine design for SPM Ferries will carry up to 100 passengers plus cargo and an emergency vehicle, and uses a bow ramp to load directly from the beach at Langlade, avoiding new port infrastructure. Its hybrid propulsion is IMO Tier III compliant and can run fully electric. Launch and service entry are due in 2027.
