Moby Lines and Ichnusa Lines will continue operating the ferry route between Santa Teresa di Gallura in Sardinia and Bonifacio in Corsica for another year, after the Sardinian regional authority renewed their authorisations when no other company responded to a call for expressions of interest.
The renewed authorisations cover 1 November 2026 to 31 October 2027. Winter public-service compensation of €981,200 including VAT has been approved for 1,208 sailings between 1 November 2026 and 31 March 2027, at €738.41 plus VAT per sailing. Moby will operate 608 sailings (€493,849 including VAT) and Ichnusa Lines 600 (€487,351).
In winter, Moby will deploy Bunifazziu from 1 November to 15 January, then Ichnusa Lines will take over with Ichnusa from 16 January to 31 March, with four daily departures in each direction. After March both ferries will operate together, with six pairs of daily sailings in summer rising to seven pairs a day in the peak period from 28 June to 13 September, plus extra sailings on public holidays.
