Alekseev bureau launches Valdai 45R hydrofoil for Saratov
The Alekseev Central Design Bureau launched the hydrofoil Saratov – Lyotchik Talalikhin, a Valdai 45R, in Nizhny Novgorod. It is the last of five bought for Saratov region.

The Central Design Bureau for Hydrofoil Vessels named after Alekseev has launched another Valdai 45R hydrofoil for Saratov region at Nizhny Novgorod. Kommersant, citing the Volodin Saratov channel, said the ship, Saratov – Lyotchik Talalikhin, will be sent to the customer after sea trials.
It is the last of five hydrofoils bought for the region. It will operate the Saratov–Voskresenskoye–Marx–Volsk–Balakovo route. Politruk Klochkov, Petr Stolypin and General Panfilov have already been launched onto the Volga and also run Saratov–Balakovo. The Valdai Yuri Gagarin runs to Saratov airport. Kommersant said passenger river services in the region were revived in 2025 after a 30-year break.
